My spiritual journey has been a soft, slow awakening since about 2018. Signs and synchronicities flow in and I’m left to digest for awhile before the next bit of guidance happens. It almost feels like a game of Pac-Man in slow motion, every new book, podcast, teacher, concept, dream is guiding me to where I’m supposed to be, helping me heal and slowly shed the ego. This podcast has been one of the tastiest ‘dots’ yet. Truly life changing. Since I found you this year, I’ve been listening every day, sometimes twice a day to all of the content I’ve missed and it has helped me slip into a new version of myself. One who considers the whole, sees the oneness and the beauty in everything and everyone. Thank you so much. Since you love synchronicities I’ll share a little story that put me on this path. It was 2017, at this point in my journey I’m sleepwalking through life, identifying as a nihilist in some sense of the word, just kind of floating and fighting the ever present feelings of depression. I’d just started a new job in the social work field and one of my assignments was to put together holiday gift bags for our clients. Company card in hand, I was off to purchase the goods! I needed gift bags, tissue paper, cards, fruits, chocolates, and a few other knickknacks. I stopped at 3 different stores. A dollar general, the local grocery store and Walmart. Each time I checked out at the register, the total was $15.16. Perplexed, I couldn’t shake this feeling of needing to explore this number. How could I have the same total purchasing completely different items at 3 different stores? I googled as one does and the first thing to come up was John 15 16 which says “for you did not choose me, but I chose you so that you might go and bear fruit - fruit that will last - and so whatever you ask in my name the father will give you” Mind you, I had never grown up religious, in fact I have always rejected and been resistant to organized religion but also intrigued at the underlying message of love and compassion and the connection to source that I felt at my core. I had no idea what that meant at the time but it felt like a powerful sign that catapulted me into a deeper understanding of the world and my connection to divinity. Years later, I believe it was showing me that through my connection to god source, I can make positive change in this world and have the reality I desire.
